The core of this division of CS Partners is our School Services Team that supports our partner schools by providing comprehensive charter school management services that help school leaders stay focused on the school’s mission. Following are descriptions of these services.

Director of School Leadership – The Director of School Leadership’s main focus is to ensure high performance school leadership in each of CS Partners fully managed schools. Critical areas of focus include student achievement, compliance and budget, student retention and highly effective innovative practices.

Working in conjunction with the school principal, the Director of School Leadership assists in student achievement data analysis to help inform curriculum development and high yield instructional techniques to make sure that all students are performing at highest potential.

In addition, the Director of School Leadership offers guidance and support to ensure high performance with compliance requirements and while managing a balanced budget. Ultimately, by monitoring the four critical areas of school leadership closely, the end result is high performance at every level of school operation where the unique mission of each school is realized resulting in high student retention year after year by exceeding student and parent expectations.

Curriculum and Instruction – CS Partners uses our experience to support and assist in the development of the curriculum at each Academy. We believe that Academies are unique and therefore should employ a curriculum that best fits the needs of its students, families, and teachers. We provide support to ensure that the curriculum is implemented in an effective way according to Best Practices to promote high student achievement. We can offer advice and direction in all areas of curriculum and instruction including staff training before and during the school year. We offer assistance in the areas of curriculum alignment, lesson planning, Best Practices, teacher evaluation, materials and resources, curriculum mapping/pacing guides, and data driven instructional advice.

Data management of student assessment – CS Partners believes in the consistent and rigorous use of data as the driver for planning and implementing each school’s curriculum and instruction plan to maximize student achievement. We can provide research based plans for the use of assessments and data management in your school. We offer support in the areas of assessment selection and administration, measureable goal setting, School Improvement Plan development, data analysis, and staff training.

Special Education – Special education provides a route for students to achieve academic success in the least restrictive environment despite their disability. CS Partners provides hands-on, onsite special education support from experienced Michigan Special Education administrators. We also work closely with our schools in ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements.

Our goal is to make your work easier so you can spend your time with the students you have prepared well to serve; all the while assisting you in broadening your knowledge so you can better enhance the educational opportunities for your students.

Marketing, Recruitment and Retention of Students – CS Partners works closely with the school leader charter school management recruiting students and identifying the best strategies to reach the targeted population within the school’s marketing budget. We research the best radio, billboard, direct mail, television and print advertising in the community where the school is located to determine which avenues of recruitment will be most effective. We also assist our schools in partnering with graphic arts companies or marketing agencies to create collateral materials to enhance the marketing effort if needed.

Retention of students at a Public School Academy is dependent on parent satisfaction related to all aspects of the school, but particularly student achievement and student connectedness to school and their classroom. The School Services Team will work with the school leader to evaluate the enrollment and attrition trends as well as achievement data and parent satisfaction surveys. These will inform the strategies related to student retention.

Facilities – The CS Partners facility department provides comprehensive facility management services to our school. These services include, custodial team management, compliance with local, state and federal requirements, transportation management support, facility inspection support and maintenance of necessary certifications. In addition, we provide close communication with school leaders concerning facility issues, project updates , personnel, compliance, budgeting and summer work scheduling. As needed CS Partners will work with the Board of Directors and charter school management on school building or land acquisitions, renovations and construction projects.

Grant Development Services – CS Partners offers an array of grant development services, including grant writing, training, technical assistance, and coaching for school building staff. Ongoing support and assistance is available to each school building in establishing a resource development team, responsible for aligning school grant seeking efforts with school improvement goals and activities. CS Partners expert grant writing staff supports each school in developing a grant seeking strategy to advance school improvement efforts.

Additionally, two innovative electronic publications are provided to school staff: GrantStation Insider Weekly ENewsletter which offers grant seeking information and resources, and CS Partners GrantAlert E-Newsletter disseminated 6 times annually, featuring links to various upcoming grant opportunities for schools and classroom teachers.
